In addition to one-to-one and group consultations, the Communication Center offers a number of services (1) to inform students about CommLab and what we do here and (2) to help students with their communication-related assignments and other projects.
During the pandemic, the Communication Center will not be offering in-person tours of the Center. However, please see this video tour about our services, staff, and appointments:
A faculty member can schedule a class visit, in which a consultant will come to the faculty member's classroom and inform students about the services the Communication Center offers. Class visits are five-to-ten minutes in length and generally take place at the beginning or end of a scheduled class. During the Fall 2020 semester, these visits will be virtual.
Both student groups and faculty members can work with our consultants to create a workshop (a small group meeting or seminar) focused on a particular communication assignment, issue, or skill. During the Fall 2020 semester, these workshops will be virtual.
We request that all tours, visits, and workshops be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the actual event.
