In addition to one-to-one and group consultations, the Communication Center offers a number of services (1) to inform students about CommLab and what we do here and (2) to help students with their communication-related assignments and other projects.
Faculty members can schedule an in-person tour of the Communication Center. Tours are dependent on class size, so be sure to let us know how many students you have in your class when you make your request.
A faculty member can schedule a class visit, in which a consultant will come to the faculty member's classroom and informs students about the services the Communication Center offers. Class visits are five-to-ten minutes in length and generally take place at the beginning or end of a scheduled class.
Both student groups and faculty members can work with our consultants to create a workshop (a small group meeting or seminar) focused on a particular communication assignment, issue, or skill. Workshops can be delivered in person or remotely via BlueJeans or Teams.
We request that all tours, visits, and workshops be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of the actual event.
To schedule a tour, workshop or visit please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
