In addition to our regular tutoring and workshops, we also offer monthly and end-of-semester events focused on helping students complete specific projects and develop writing accountability. If you have questions about any of these events, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just Write Fridays are designed to help graduate students solidify strong academic writing habits. Each session will begin with setting and sharing goals and end with a brief progress report. Each time a student attends and completes the exit survey, they will also be entered into a drawing to win prizes at the end of the semester. Students can join us in person in Clough 447 or by Zoom. Register here to get weekly reminders and the link to join. Please register even if you have received our emails before.

Thesis Camp, typically held once each semester, is open to undergraduate thesis writers who are actively engaged in writing their theses. Designed to be both fun and practical, Thesis Camp helps students to organize and strengthen their academic writing habits, make progress on their writing, and provide structure and accountability.
Please check back for dates and registration links for upcoming Camps.
The Dissertation Accelerator, hosted at the end of fall and spring semesters, is designed for those students looking to make significant progress on their dissertations, across the process. Open to all currently enrolled GT doctoral students who are actively working on their dissertations, the Accelerator is a week-long program that addresses the processes and genres associated with the dissertation process. Each day, the Accelerator delivers structured time to write, accountability to help students reach their goals, community to support them throughout the process, and access to curated workshops that provide attendees with tools and strategies for completing their dissertations. The Accelerator offers both in-person and remote options for participation; however, space is limited and acceptance into the program is determined by where students are in their process, with priority going to those who are nearing the end of their dissertation work. Note: The Accelerator is not a writing course, and students should be prepared to write independently over the course of the week.
Our next Accelerator will take place Monday, December 11th through Friday, December 15th from 10am-5pm daily in the Naugle Communication Center (Clough 447). Click the link below to register. Registration will close at 5pm on Sunday, December 3rd and applicants will be notified of their status on Tuesday, December 5th.
